About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the commercial growth of Maersks e-commerce business across Benelux and the Nordic region. As Business Development Manager you will be the bridge between product sales and customers transforming market opportunities into long-term commercial success. Youll help shape how our e-commerce proposition is positioned in the market support strategic customer engagements and guide opportunities from initial qualification through to go-live and revenue realisation. Working across multiple countries and stakeholders youll combine commercial acumen solution selling and relationship-building skills to drive growth in one of the most exciting areas of integrated logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with regional and country sales teams to drive understanding and adoption of Maersks e-commerce offering.
  • Develop compelling value propositions customer use cases and sales enablement materials.
  • Identify qualify and develop new commercial opportunities across Benelux and the Nordics.
  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline ensuring accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking.
  • Participate in customer meetings discovery workshops tenders and commercial negotiations.
  • Provide market intelligence customer insights and competitive analysis to support growth initiatives.
  • Work closely with Product Pricing Finance and Commercial Strategy teams to support successful opportunity conversion.
  • Monitor contracted opportunities and ensure expected volumes convert into realised business.
  • Support customer implementations onboarding activities and go-live readiness.
  • Maintain visibility of pipeline value contracted volume revenue and gross profit performance.
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships and increase share of wallet.

What Were Looking For
  • Proven experience in business development commercial strategy consultative sales or customer acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce parcel logistics last-mile delivery or a comparable service-based industry.
  • Demonstrated success in building pipelines and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Commercially astute with a strong understanding of pricing margin revenue and profitability drivers.
  • Experience working across multiple countries and managing geographically dispersed stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a matrix organisation and collaborating across Sales Product Operations and Customer Experience functions.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities with a structured approach to pipeline management.
  • Ability to own opportunities end-to-end from initial customer engagement through implementation and volume ramp-up.
  • Existing knowledge and network within the European parcel e-commerce or logistics market would be highly advantageous.
  • French language skills are highly desirable
