What will you do
As our Business Analyst Regulatory Reporting you are responsible for analyzing business and IT requirements within the Finance and Regulatory Reporting domain and supporting the delivery of technology-enabled solutions that create business value. You work closely with business stakeholders product owners data teams and IT delivery teams across the value chain to ensure regulatory reporting processes are efficient compliant and future-proof.
We are looking for a professional who can navigate complexity translate business needs into functional requirements and support the implementation of regulatory reporting initiatives. You are analytical data-driven and eager to contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems.
Your team
You will be working in the Regulatory Reporting IT delivery team which is part of the Finance & Risk IT domain. Regulatory Reporting IT team is responsible for managing the IT landscape for our regulatory reporting business value stream and to support our colleagues in Finance to submit reports to regulators bound to critical deadlines. You will report to the domain IT manager for the Finance & Risk IT team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and processes across the Finance and Regulatory Reporting value chain identifying dependencies and improvement opportunities;
- Perform detailed data analysis to support regulatory reporting requirements root cause investigations reconciliations and impact analyses;
- Support the identification evaluation and recommendation of solutions for improving business processes and IT systems in alignment with the organizations IT strategy and target architecture;
- Contribute to the design and implementation of regulatory reporting solutions that meet business data and regulatory requirements;
- Contribute to the integration of regulatory reporting data processes and systems following the ABN AMRO integration ensuring alignment across data models reporting requirements controls and business processes while supporting a smooth transition and continued regulatory compliance;
- Translate regulatory requirements into data specifications transformation rules reporting logic and functional requirements;
- Coordinate and support testing activities by defining test scenarios supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) validating reporting outputs and ensuring successful implementation of changes;
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine business requirements into functional requirements epics features and user stories;
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Regulatory Reporting domain and actively share best practices with colleagues.
Your Challenge
You will work in a dynamic environment where you balance day-to-day regulatory reporting activities with change initiatives driven by evolving regulations and strategic business priorities.
Key initiatives include:
- Supporting the integration of regulatory reporting activities arising from the ABN AMRO integration including harmonization of data processes controls and reporting frameworks;
- Enhancing regulatory reporting capabilities to address evolving regulations and new reporting requirements;
- Improving data quality data lineage and governance controls to support accurate complete and timely regulatory submissions.

What do you bring
- 35 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment combining strong analytical skills with domain expertise in Regulatory Reporting Finance Risk Data or a related field;
- Understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks such as FINREP COREP AnaCredit Basel ECB EBA and DNB requirements;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess their business and data impact;
- Proven experience performing data analysis reconciliations root cause investigations and impact assessments;
- Strong SQL proficiency with hands-on experience building and optimizing queries against large datasets for validation troubleshooting and regulatory reporting purposes;
- Experience with data mapping and integration including defining source-to-target mappings transformation rules and data validation requirements;
- Regulatory reporting tooling experience such as AxiomSL Regnology/Abacus Wolters Kluwer SAS or similar reporting platforms;
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and requirements management practices;
- Strong stakeholder management communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across business data and technology teams.
