Job Purpose and Impact
TheAssociate Professional Application Developerisfocused on SAP ABAP to support the development enhancement and integration of SAP applications. This role will focus on ABAP development technical support and system integrations across SAP solutions. This person will work on easy to moderate technical solutions with guidance and will collaborate closely with functional consultants and business teams as part of a product team supporting and scaling SAP solutions across multiple areas of Cargills business. This developer will be joining a product team initially focused on scaling the use of SAPProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM)across multiple parts of Cargills businesses
Key Accountabilities
- APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Sets up and maintains application configurations to meet user and business requirements while developing and recommending improvements to standard and moderately complex application support processes and procedures.
- APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Performs programming configuration testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
- COLLABORATION: Coordinates cross functional team of product managers designers architects and other engineers to help gather requirements and deliver resolutions that meet business needs and deliver cybersecurity goals.
- TESTING & DEBUGGING: Writes and maintains standard unit tests and integration tests and performs debugging to maintain the quality and performance of the software.
- CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Makes suggestions for improving the software development and deployment processes and partners to implement the approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.
- DOCUMENTATION: Maintains comprehensive documentation for software applications deployment processes and system configurations.
- TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Provides technical support and troubleshooting for standard issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.
Qualifications
No minimum years of relevant experience required. Typically reflects 2 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Professional Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field
- 1-2 years of application development or SAP experience
- Foundational understanding of SAP concepts
- Exposure to ABAP development and debugging
- Strong analytical skills and ability to learn complex processes
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new technical skills
