ACDC Express is looking for a reliable organised and detail-oriented Storeman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of stock within the store ensuring inventory accuracy receiving and dispatching goods and maintaining an efficient safe and well-organised storeroom.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of stock control and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Stock Control
Receive inspect and dispatch stock accurately and efficiently.
Create purchase orders and place stock orders.
Monitor stock levels and replenish shelves as required.
Conduct regular stock takes and inventory counts.
Investigate stock discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory records.
Ensure products are correctly labelled binned and stored.
Manage returns repairs and damaged stock.
Test electrical products where required.
Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded.
Warehouse & Store Operations
Maintain a clean organised and safe storeroom.
Pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
Ensure fragile products are packed securely.
Perform daily housekeeping and aisle maintenance.
Complete daily stock reports and update operational trackers.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the store driver.
Customer & Supplier Service
Greet customers professionally.
Assist customers with product queries where required.
Build strong relationships with suppliers.
Provide timely updates on customer orders repairs and returns.
Support the Internal Sales team during busy trading periods.
Learning & Development
Continuously develop product and inventory knowledge.
Train and support the Store Driver when required.
Keep up to date with company systems and processes.
Requirements
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
13 years experience in a stock control warehouse or retail environment.
Experience within the electrical or hardware industry will be advantageous.
Good understanding of inventory management and stock control principles.
Computer literacy with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Experience with POS inventory or ERP systems will be advantageous.
Good numerical and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Valid drivers licence and own transport will be advantageous.
Clear criminal and credit record.
