Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Windshield Fitter to join our team in Swakopmund.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure cut and install windshields and automotive glass components according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Perform pre-installation inspections to assess damage ensure proper fit and verify compatibility with vehicle models.
- Use specialized tools and equipment such as suction cups sealants and curing systems to ensure secure leak-free installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering strictly to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain service processes provide estimates and ensure satisfaction with the final installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to glass fit seal integrity or equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals manage workflow efficiently and support overall service delivery.
- Document all work performed including materials used service times and quality checks for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 13 years of hands-on experience in automotive glass fitting or related field.
- Valid trade certificate or completed apprenticeship in automotive glass fitting.
- Strong hand-eye coordination steady hands and exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards and time management.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to varying vehicle models and installation challenges.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures including handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport and communicate professionally with clients.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using automotive glass installation tools sealants and curing systems.
