Come explore opportunities within Brunswick a global marine leader committed to challenging conventions and innovating next-generation technologies that transform experiences on the water and beyond. Brunswick believes Next Never Rests and we offer a variety of exciting careers and growth opportunities within united teams defining the future of marine recreation.

The Transducer Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for owning and advancing the manufacturing engineering capability for transducer assemblies across volume production. This role exists to ensure design intent is faithfully realized in manufacturing and that production processes are robust repeatable controlled and scalable.

The engineer will lead manufacturing process definition tooling and fixturing development process capability improvement and structured problem solving across transducer production lines. A strong emphasis is placed on change control process stability metricsdriven decision making and systemslevel quality.

This role requires handson experience in urethane moulding at volume not theoretical exposure or onthejob training. The successful candidate will bring proven expertise in managing sensitive material processes environmental controls and defect prevention in highreliability electromechanical products.

Manufacturing Process Ownership

Own endtoend manufacturing processes for transducer assemblies from component preparation through final encapsulation and cure.

Translate product design intent into clear manufacturable and controlled processes tooling and work instructions.

Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering authority for transducer production lines.

Urethane Moulding & Encapsulation (Critical)

Lead and maintain robust urethane moulding processes suitable for highvolume production.

Define and control critical process parameters including:

o Material storage conditioning temperature and moisture control.

o Mixing methods (speed time ratio control).

o Pour techniques (controlled bottomup singlepoint pour methodology).

o Venting strategies to prevent air entrapment.

o Cure methods including vacuum degassing and/or pressure curing where required.

Establish process windows and controls to minimize voids moisturerelated defects and variability.

Drive continuous improvement of encapsulation yield reliability and longterm field performance.

Change Control & Process Governance

Own and enforce formal change control for manufacturing processes tooling materials and parameters.

Ensure all changes are properly reviewed validated documented and approved through established change management systems.

Partner with Product Development Quality and Operations to assess risk and impact of changes on cost performance and reliability.

Tooling Fixturing & Automation

Design specify or review tooling and fixturing to ensure:

o Process repeatability

o Operator consistency

o Protection of design intent

Collaborate closely with design engineers to review manufacturability early and avoid downstream rework.

Lead or support selective automation initiatives where justified by volume quality or safety.

Metrics Systems & Quality

Apply a systems engineering approach to manufacturing quality understanding interactions between materials environment tooling operators and equipment.

Define and track meaningful manufacturing metrics (yield defect modes process capability rework scrap).

Partner with Quality to:

o Perform root cause analysis on defects and escapes.

o Implement corrective and preventive actions that address systemlevel causes not symptoms.

Support PFMEA control plans and validation activities.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

Work directly with Product Development Engineering to:

o Understand design intent.

o Influence design for manufacturability and robustness.

Work closely with Process Engineering Quality and Operations to identify gaps and implement durable solutions.

Reduce dependency on external vendors by building internal manufacturing engineering capability and ownership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in manufacturing engineering preferably in electromechanical or encapsulated products.
  • Demonstrated handson experience with urethane moulding at production scale (not laboratory or prototype only).
  • Proven experience establishing and controlling sensitive material processes involving temperature moisture mixing and curing.
  • Strong background in change control and process validation.
  • Experience applying metrics and structured problemsolving methods to manufacturing quality issues.
  • Ability to read interpret and influence engineering drawings and tolerancing.
  • Comfortable working directly on the factory floor as well as in design reviews.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belts (GB) and Black Belts (BB).
  • Experience with vacuum degassing pressure curing or similar advanced encapsulation techniques.
  • Exposure to transducer sensor or acoustic product manufacturing.
  • Experience working within PLM and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with regulated or highreliability manufacturing environments.
