JOB SUMMARY
The Manager Deployment - Technical Subject Matter Expert Digital Technology Transformation Global Technology Caribbean & Latin America (CALA) is a key member of the CALA Continent organization and the project team supporting The Power of M. This role reports directly to the Sr. Manager Infrastructure Readiness Continent DTT. The role oversees planning and communication of infrastructure needs for properties transitioning to migrating to or opening with OCPMS (OPERA Cloud PMS).
This role will be fully integrated into the existing Digital Technology Transformation technology project plan and workgroup and will serve as a key partner to all in-scope hotels to ensure infrastructure network and end-device requirements are clearly understood properly planned and completed before cutover or Go-Live. The role will work directly with hotel teams to assess readiness validate requirements provide hands-on support troubleshoot issues as needed and serve as a subject-matter expert on opportunities related to network connectivity end-device readiness and technology deployment execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist hotel teams directly with network readiness efforts by communicating requirements and offering clear practical guidance to help them understand requirements (for technical and non-technical audiences) and effectively prepare their environments for deployment or transition to Power of M.
Proactively identify infrastructure risks and obstacles including connectivity issues infrastructure failures or vendor dependencies. Support troubleshooting efforts and promote resolution by working with the appropriate teams and stakeholders.
Periodically follow up with properties within scope to confirm their commitment to project goals track progress manage action items communicate effectively minimize risks promote engagement and share deadlines and timelines.
Provide support for hotels before during and after cutovers to ensure a smooth transition and share communication opportunities best practices and lessons learned from projects as appropriate with Sr. Manager and work team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of relevant professional experience (Hotel OperationsProject Management Technology Implementation Stakeholder Engagement).
- 3 years of experience working with property-based systems including technical knowledge end-user computing (Desktops/Laptops) servers and network infrastructure.
- Proficient and well-versed in the Marriott CALA Technology landscape including managed and franchise hotels. Preferred.
- Experience working with international properties.
- Understanding of technical prerequisites in large-scale deployments including workstation standards endpoint validation and bandwidth considerations
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex service-intensive deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to be detailed-oriented while maintaining alignment with broader organization objectives.
- Project Management skills or equivalent certification desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint applications.
- Proficiency with SmartSheet preferable.
- Understanding of network connectivity principles fundamentals of LAN/WAN Wi-Fi DHCP/DNS and basic troubleshooting capabilities.
- Knowledge of end-user computing support principles including fundamentals of operating systems desktop and laptop setup user profile and application troubleshooting peripheral device support and troubleshooting experience.
- Fluent English and Spanish required Portuguese an advantage.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Coordinate deployment activities across hotels and teams to ensure project tasks are completed on time.
- Communicate technical requirements timelines and deployment expectations clearly to all users and stakeholders.
- Ensure each site is ready by validating network connectivity computer specifications operating systems and other technical requirements.
- Track readiness activities and follow up with hotels vendors and internal teams to ensure required tasks are completed before deployment.
- Identify and resolve risks issues blockers and troubleshoot issues that could impact deployment timelines or project success.
- Provide regular project updates deployment schedules and implementation guidance to ensure all parties understand what is needed when it is needed and how deployment activities will occur.
- Support deployment execution and coordinate post-go-live activities to ensure a smooth transition and minimal operational disruption.
