Supplier Quality Engineer (MPUQ-QueP)

Job Summary
Bosch is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join its purchasing team. This role is responsible for ensuring that component suppliers meet Bosch and automotive industry standards minimizing quality-related disruptions to production. The engineer will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Claims Management: Oversee supplier claims coordinate containment actions and ensure the availability of certified components for manufacturing. Be the focal point to the coordination of 8Ds with supplier assuring TRC / MRC and the necessary actions.
- Defect Cost Recovery & Concessions: Track defect costs manage concessions and ensure adherence to processes.
- Audits & Compliance: Conduct supplier and internal audits ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards.
- Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in problem-solving activities and Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP).
- Sorting & Defect Management: Ensure proper sorting operations including inspector training defect catalog application and NOK (non-conforming) part segregation.
- KPI & Process Tracking: Monitor local KPIs update PBI reports (scrap costs etc.) and lead task forces for quality improvement.
- PPAP & Supplier Quality Improvement: Support the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and lead initiatives to improve supplier quality.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
- Language Skills: Advanced English proficiency required (ability to lead meetings and communicate effectively with international suppliers and stakeholders). German is a plus.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Experience with statistical techniques and quality reporting.
- Hands-on support and attention to detail required.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of assembly processes (preferred background).
- Knowledge of metrology and industry-standard measurement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings process documents and quality assurance standards.
- Familiarity with quality strategies for new product launches and ongoing production quality management.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Style & Adaptability:
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced global environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
