Job Summary
The Strategic Inventory Planner is a senior individual contributor responsible for managing complex inventory and E&O challenges across a global highly matrixed supply chain. This role partners closely with the Senior Manager Inventory Planning to execute enterprise inventory strategy develop advanced analytics and insights and drive proactive inventory risk mitigation.
The role serves as a strategic thought partner translating inventory demand and financial data into actionable insights that improve service levels revenue conversion and working capital outcomes while supporting strong financial governance and SOX compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex inventory and E&O analyses across platforms product families or regions to identify risks root causes and mitigation opportunities.
- Develop and maintain advanced inventory models scenarios and projections to support decision-making and trade-off discussions.
- Proactively identify inventory risks related to demand volatility lifecycle transitions supply constraints and execution gaps.
- Partner with Finance and Controllership to support accurate inventory valuation reserve analysis and audit-ready documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Planning Procurement Manufacturing Logistics and Sales to align inventory actions end to end.
- Support the transition from manual reactive inventory management to automated risk-based and exception-driven planning.
- Contribute to the design and refinement of inventory KPIs dashboards and early-warning indicators.
- Translate complex inventory and financial analyses into clear executive-ready insights and recommendations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Finance Accounting Supply Chain Operations Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Typically 710 years of experience in inventory planning supply chain analytics finance or related operational roles.
- Experience operating in a global matrixed environment with complex manufacturing or partner ecosystems preferred.
