Sr Labor Relation Specialist
Job Summary
At IAC Monterrey North Plant we are seeking a Senior Labor Relations Specialist with extensive experience in unionized manufacturing environments. This role is responsible for leading labor relations strategies fostering productive union partnerships ensuring compliance with labor regulations and driving initiatives that support workforce stability and operational excellence.
As a key member of the Human Resources team this position plays a strategic role in collective bargaining processes labor negotiations workforce planning and employee relations directly impacting critical business metrics such as turnover absenteeism employee engagement and labor climate.
- Lead the administration and compliance of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) ensuring its proper application.
- Lead and participate in union negotiations contract reviews and labor relations initiatives.
- Develop and execute labor relations strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage and resolve individual and collective labor conflicts including complex and sensitive cases.
- Advise managers and leadership teams on labor relations employee discipline and compliance matters.
- Monitor analyze and improve key HR metrics including turnover absenteeism discipline and employee relations climate.
- Design and implement initiatives and action plans aimed at reducing turnover and absenteeism while improving workforce stability.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican Labor Law Internal Work Regulations (RIT) and company policies.
- Lead investigations and manage employee relations cases disciplinary actions attendance and workplace incidents.
- Prepare and deliver labor relations reports KPI dashboards and trend analysis to leadership teams using advanced data analysis tools.
- Partner closely with Operations Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure labor stability and operational success.
- Bachelors degree in Law Human Resources Business Administration Industrial Relations or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in Labor Relations within a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading:
- Union negotiations.
- Collective Bargaining Agreement administration.
- Labor conflict resolution and grievance management.
- Labor relations strategy development and execution.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Mexican Labor Law.
- Collective bargaining processes.
- Internal Work Regulations (RIT).
- HR analytics and workforce metrics.
- Proven experience managing and analyzing HR KPIs particularly turnover absenteeism labor discipline and employee relations indicators.
- Experience developing and implementing initiatives focused on reducing turnover and absenteeism.
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables advanced formulas data analysis dashboard creation and reporting.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively in meetings presentations and interactions with global teams.
