As a Senior Engineer (VAVE) on the Mobile Solutions Air Product Management and Engineering team you will own and drive product value improvements (VAVE) across a broad product portfolio. You will partner closely with commercial operations purchasing and engineering teams globally to help identify cost reduction opportunities influence priorities and deliver successful product transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Product VAVE Strategy: Identify and lead opportunities to improve cost for a defined set of products and support commercial operations purchasing and engineering teams to get these implemented.
• Crossfunctional Global Collaboration: Work closely with global sales engineering operations and purchasing to support and execute efficiency improvements.
• Plant Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with Donaldson production facilities to leverage operational insights to drive product value improvement. Assist completion of operations Cost Reduction Pipeline initiatives by providing engineering support and guidance.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Identify opportunities to phase out products rationalize our portfolio offering and support transitions from legacy products to updated offerings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical manufacturing or aerospace engineering or a related field.
• 57 years of experience in Engineering preferably automotive or a related function.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Demonstrated ability to influence crossfunctional teams.
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting to stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in statistics enterprise data and visualization tools.
• Availability to travel once per quarter.

Preferred Qualifications

• Filtration industry experience or product knowledge.
• Proven ability to navigate organizational and product change.
• Good communication skills and experience working with global teams.
• Knowledge of lean concepts elimination of waste value stream mapping and poka-yoke.
• Proficiency with analyzing tolerance stacks and applying GD&T concepts to control product quality while keeping costs down.
• Demonstrated strength in creative problem solving and conceptual thinking.
