TheWarner Bros Discovery (WBD)SeniorProcurementAnalyst for Mexico supportsthe procurement needs of our Mexico City office.This position is a key business partner toall ofthe different divisions of WBD thatare located inour Mexico market as well as our growingcapability center that servicesall ofWBD Americas.He/she iswell versed in conducting business in the Mexican marketplace including the norms pricing country economic environment contract obligations and the taxation and registration of companies doing business in Mexico.He/sheproactively partners withall ofthe different lines of business in Mexico as well as our capability center.This role covers a variety of categories such as marketinggoods and services IT hardwaretechnology services film and TV production and distribution.The role partners with our global category managers based in the US and is expected to align to global strategies where possible and adapt them to the local Mexican marketplace as needed.Mexicorepresents$50Min third party spend and contributes to business success and revenue growth.Warner Bros DiscoverySr ProcurementAnalyst reports to the Procurement Manager for Mexico Andean CentralAmericaand the Caribbean.

Job Responsibilities

Stakeholder/Internal Customer Management

  • Partners with internal clients for alignment of business priorities across multiple sourcing categories and be the conduit/liaison on behalf of global sourcing team.

  • Provides internalprocurementexpertisetothe businessin the practice of strategic sourcing best practices and external marketplace or innovative trends.

  • Builds effective relationships to enablefast action

  • Participates in the team meetings of the lines of business educates them on procurement policy and approach andremainsattentive to their needs

Category Management

  • Contributes theview pointof the Mexico marketplace to global category strategies andis able tospeak to the economic environment in Mexico and how itimpactsprocurement

  • Implements global category strategies in Mexico and tailors them to the local marketplace.(sole source or short-list negotiations leverage added scope competitive biddingeSourcingtools catalogs reverse auctions etc.).

  • Accountable for the delivery of category savings targets throughcollaboration and engagement with business stakeholders.

  • Serves as key procurement lead on projects bring procurementexpertiseand project management to projects and instills a sense of confidence in the business that this roleis an expert in procurement and will drive the process

  • Develops and compilesbusiness requirementsfor new ideals including execution of Request for Information (RFI) Request for Quotation (RFQ)or Request for Proposals (RFP).

Supplier Selection/Management

  • Uses depth of knowledge of suppliersin Mexico and in the wider Latin America marketplace as neededto gain insights which are not obvious nor widely held that improveWBDscompetitive advantage.

  • Partners with Supplier Diversity efforts to creatively include diverse vendors in supplier selection processes and creatively grow existing diverse vendor spend.

  • Leads environmentally friendly purchase efforts to supportWBDssustainability efforts.

Negotiations Contract Creation & Management

  • Leads and develops multi-pronged negotiation strategies contract analyses and sourcing communications and meetings.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders andlocallegal counsel to lead negotiations and contract coordination to ensure all geography-specific requirements are captured.

  • Viewsnew and existing opportunities from different angles toidentifyfresh and original ways of tapping those opportunities to get maximum return.

Sourcing-Driven Project Management

  • Identifies implementsand manages projects across business unitsin Mexico and at times may expand to the Andean CentralAmericaand the Caribbean

  • Identifiesopportunities where project managementexpertiseneeds to be implemented and works to ensure that those involved in key projects are managing them optimally.

JOB QUALIFICATION

Work Experience

Required:3-5yearsexperiencein procurement and strategic sourcing

  • Required:Experience conducting business in Mexico (nice tohave: wider experience in the Andean CentralAmericaand Caribbean)

Education Professional Training Technical Training or Certification

  • Bachelors Degree inbusinessfinanceoperations engineering supply chainmanagementor similar focus.
  • Required Languages: FluentSpanishand Proficient English (Nice to have: Fluent English)

  • Professional accreditation in procurementviewed favorably

Knowledge/Skills

  • Focus on teamwork and cross functional collaboration
  • High levelof organization skills and attention to detail

  • Strong computer skills includingproficiencyin Word Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong communicationskills to interactwith stakeholders in a concise and clear manner

  • Ability to function effectively in a matrixed organization

  • Ability to assemble cross-functional teamsthat are focused on specific procurement projects

  • Understanding of the supplier landscape across major categories of spend;

  • Demonstrated contract and agreement negotiation experience

  • ExcellentSpanishlanguagewritten oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize complex and technical information into concise and clearmanner.Proficient English to read andwritee-mail to WBD employees andsuppliers (Nice to have: Fluent English)

  • Nice to have: Experience with procurement and accounting systems: SAP AribaSpendHQ Workday Strategic Sourcing
