Senior Environmental Health and Safety Engineer

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Lead the implementation maintenance and continuous improvement of Environmental Health and Safety programs across the organization.
• Develop implement and maintain occupational health and safety programs that support a safe and productive work environment.
• Lead incident accident and near-miss investigations using structured root cause analysis methodologies and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Facilitate risk assessments Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and critical task evaluations to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
• Monitor compliance with applicable environmental health safety regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Manage key safety programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) Confined Space Entry Working at Heights Contractor Safety Machine Guarding and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Design and deliver EHS training and awareness programs for employees supervisors and contractors.
• Promote a culture of engagement accountability and continuous improvement through coaching communication and leadership initiatives.
• Provide technical EHS guidance and support across all levels of the organization.
• Lead coach and develop EHS team members while supporting professional growth and organizational objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive EHS performance achieve departmental goals and support sustainable business success.
• Identify communicate and escalate significant risks compliance concerns and resource needs when appropriate.

For This Role You Will Need:

• Demonstrated experience leading Environmental Health and Safety programs within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives EHS management systems audits and continuous improvement activities.
• Working knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations risk assessment methodologies incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis
• Knowledge of ergonomics Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) emergency preparedness and response and contractor safety management.
• Ability to lead projects manage priorities and collaborate effectively across functions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including advanced English proficiency.
• A bachelors degree in engineering occupational safety environmental sciences or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education training and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations compliance requirements and environmental management programs.
• Experience with hazardous materials and chemical management programs.
• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Experience leading teams mentoring professionals and driving organizational change through collaboration and influence.
