About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with advanced accounting expertise proven leadership in reviewing and guiding accounting work and deep hands-on QuickBooks Online experience. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing client books delivering financial reports and supporting the broader accounting team.
Experience supporting law firms professional services businesses or personal injury practices is highly preferred.
What Youll Be Doing
- Maintain and manage client books in QuickBooks Online
- Review QuickBooks files for accurate coding accounts payable accounts receivable and transaction completeness
- Perform accounting clean-ups and catch-up work for clients with incomplete records
- Classify transactions and complete monthly reconciliations for bank credit card and liability accounts
- Tie out payroll liabilities and payroll-related expenses
- Prepare monthly financial statement packages including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports
- Deliver financial reports to clients and explain key results
- Conduct regular client check-in meetings to review financial performance and answer questions
- Complete year-end workpapers and prepare adjusting journal entries
Team Support & Review
- Review work prepared by accountants and bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Provide feedback and guidance to team members
Client Communication & Project Management
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding documentation and financial matters
- Maintain timely responses to client communications
- Manage tasks deadlines and workflows using firm systems and tools
What Were Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of U.S. accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Experience reviewing accounting work and maintaining quality standards
- Excellent communication organization and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel Word and Teams
- Experience with payroll accounting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a law firm or professional services business
- Personal injury law firm experience is a plus
- Experience with legal practice management software such as Filevine Clio or similar platforms.
- Formal accounting or bookkeeping qualifications/certifications
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: 40000 - 55000 MXN pesos per month depending on experience.
- Full-time remote position
- Working hours aligned with US business hours (Pacific Time preferred)
