Senior RPG AS/400 Developer Remote / Guadalajara

We are seeking a skilled and experienced RPG Developer (IBM iSeries / AS400) to join a long-term enterprise project within the Healthcare sector.

This role focuses on application development maintenance and production support on IBM i environments working closely with internal teams and business stakeholders to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Develop maintain and enhance applications on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.
Work with RPGLE and CL in enterprise environments.
Handle batch jobs job scheduling debugging and job servicing.
Provide production support and resolve operational issues.
Work with DB2 for SQL for database design and optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Healthcare Provider & Payer applications.
Interact with internal teams and clients to provide technical solutions.
Prioritize multiple tasks and manage concurrent support activities.
Participate in on-call support rotation (weekends from home).

Technical Skills Required

5 years of experience in RPG / RPGLE development
Strong experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) application development and maintenance
Solid experience handling Batch Jobs debugging and job servicing
Experience with Job Scheduling tools (Schedule M Robo RBO or similar)
Strong knowledge of DB2 for SQL and database design
Working knowledge of CL programming environment
Experience providing Production Support in enterprise environments
Experience working with ticketing tools (ServiceNow or similar)

Location & Schedule

Location: Remote in Mexico

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• Advanced English (C1 preferred).
• Strong communication skills teamwork mindset commitment and ownership.
