Your Role

As a Power BI Developer at Capgemini you will be responsible for transforming complex business data into meaningful insights through advanced analytics dashboards and reporting solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop scalable Business Intelligence solutions that support strategic decision-making.

This role requires strong expertise in Power BI data modeling SQL querying ETL processes and data warehousing concepts as well as the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities & Scope

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather analyze and understand reporting and analytics requirements.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards scorecards and visual reports using Power BI.
• Build and maintain data models that transform raw data into meaningful business insights.
• Define track and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives.
• Perform data analysis and present actionable insights to support business decision-making.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and estimate delivery timelines.
• Develop deploy and maintain Power BI solutions reports and datasets.
• Create and optimize DAX formulas measures calculated columns and calculated tables.
• Design visualizations charts and analytical reports that effectively communicate data trends and performance.
• Document data models data relationships calculations algorithms and reporting logic.
• Support and contribute to data warehouse development and maintenance activities.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction transformation and analysis.
• Utilize filters drill-through capabilities and advanced visualization techniques to improve user experience and reporting effectiveness.
• Analyze current ETL processes and recommend improvements for data integration and reporting efficiency.
• Implement enhancements and technical changes to existing BI solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy consistency performance and governance across reporting environments.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Required Skills

• Proven experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI Data Modeling including relationships star schemas and dimensional modeling.
• Experience creating and optimizing DAX queries measures and calculations.
• Strong SQL development and data querying skills.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration concepts.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting complex datasets.
• Understanding of Data Warehouse development and reporting architectures.
• Familiarity with relational and multidimensional database design concepts.
• Experience documenting data solutions business rules and reporting logic.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure-based data and analytics services.
• Knowledge of Power BI Service administration governance and security models.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise reporting environments.
• Familiarity with data transformation tools such as Power Query.
• Understanding of data governance and master data management principles.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
