Summary

We are looking for a Tax Analyst to support Canada/ US in the HR department accountable to monitor and reconcile payroll taxes stock and garnishments at the employer and employee level. Primarily responsible for the companys adherence to all payroll-related local state provincial federal and other applicable tax and garnishment laws and procedures. Reconcile payroll tax/stock/garnishment reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate filings by service provider. Monitor quarterly tax filings and manage tax records.

Principal Accountabilities

• Primarily responsible for the companys adherence to all payroll-related local state provincial federal and other applicable tax and garnishment laws and procedures.

• Reconcile payroll tax/stock/garnishment reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate filings by service provider

• Monitor quarterly tax filings and manage tax records.

• Monitor state unemployment rate notices

• Reconcile cash activity to Payroll and Tax Services reports.

• Reconcile Payroll reports to 941s and W-2s as well as T4s.

• Gather and report requested data to internal and external recipients.

• Interact with payroll vendor associated with the filing and preparation of payroll tax returns.

• Prepare registrations for new employment tax localities.

• Special projects and research as assigned.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Monitor state unemployment rate notices

• Reconcile cash activity to Payroll and Tax Services reports.

• Reconcile Payroll reports to 941s and W-2s as well as T4s.

• Gather and report requested data to internal and external recipients.

• Interact with payroll vendor associated with the filing and preparation of payroll tax returns.

• Prepare registrations for new employment tax localities.

• Special projects and research as assigned

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience with both Payroll Tax and Payroll Accounting highly preferred (or one required)

• Administrative focus oriented

• HR background preferred

• Experience with Workday payroll a plus

• Experience with executive compensation in relations to stock transactions LTIP and split state wage reporting a huge plus
