Core Responsibilities:
- Shopfloor Layout Optimization: Design and implement efficient 2D/3D CAD layouts to optimize material flow equipment placement and worker ergonomics.
- Safety & Workflow Compliance: Refine material workflows and enforce safety floor marking standards to maintain a safe efficient environment.
- Capacity Expansion: Support the introduction of new manufacturing platforms and expand shopfloor capacity.
- EHS Compliance: Ensure all shopfloor layouts strictly comply with environmental health and safety regulations.
- Proactive Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational EHS quality and product safety risks to prevent operational disruptions.
- Space Utilization: Optimize shopfloor space to maximize output per square meter and overall efficiency.
- Simulation & Scenario Planning: Use 2D/3D CAD simulations to model line changes minimize downtime and validate expansion plans before investing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to integrate technical solutions focused on safety ergonomics quality and efficiency.
Do you have what it takes
- Six Sigma & Process Improvement: Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with hands-on DMAIC experience leading data-driven initiatives to boost operational efficiency safety and quality.
- CAD & Layout Optimization: Experience in 2D/3D CAD modeling to design and optimize shopfloor layouts for enhanced material flow and space utilization.
- Structured Problem Solving: Proficient in Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma methodologies to resolve complex operational issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong communication skills to effectively engage stakeholders and partner across departments.
- EHS & Regulatory Compliance: Solid understanding of environmental and safety regulationsspecifically in additive manufacturingto ensure compliance and proactive risk management.
- Project & Time Management: Proven capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring on-time delivery with minimal operational disruption.
- English fluent level
Note: This position is based at our LEGO Operaciones de Mexico manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores NL This is not a remote position
