Job Summary

This role is responsible of maintain plant machinery auxiliary equipment and facilities in proper operating condition with a focus on electrical and electronic systems. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and correcting failures programming PLCs Drives VFDs and HMI systems and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic and control equipment. The role requires working independently and responsibly while following the organizations safety quality and operational standards.

Functions & Responsabilities

  • Receive shift handover information and review pending maintenance activities from the previous shift.
  • Verify and monitor the condition of control rooms electrical rooms and mezzanine areas.
  • Attend pending and current work orders perform the required corrective actions and properly close work orders.
  • Perform daily maintenance routines including 5S activities in the electronics laboratory and inspection of cooling systems in control rooms.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic failures in industrial equipment and control systems.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs Drives Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) HMIs and other control systems.
  • Maintain backups of PLC HMI and Drive programs and parameters.
  • Prepare daily maintenance logs and provide proper shift handover to the next technician.
  • Prepare spare parts requests and coordinate their retrieval from the maintenance warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with the companys quality management system policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures including electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Degree required (Electronics Mechatronics Control & Automation Electrical Maintenance or related field).
  • Technical certification or diploma preferred.
  • 23 years of experience in industrial maintenance electronics automation or a related field.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting preferably Siemens.
  • Knowledge of Drives Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) HMI systems and industrial control systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Knowledge of sensors and control devices used in industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Personal protective equipment: safety glasses hearing protection gloves and steel-toed safety shoes.
