Bachelors Degree Public Accountant required. 5 years Maquiladora.

Position Purpose:

This position will lead part of the Mexicali accounting team that may include any of the following groups: Accounts Payable Payroll Accounts Payable Tax and/or Treasury functions. The accounting lead will report directly to the accounting manager.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

ASSIGN DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY TASKS TO THE TEAM ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES BY POSITION .

REVIEW PREPAYROLL PAYROLL AND EMPLOYEE PAYMENTS EVERY WEEK .

REVIEW WEEKLY ACCOUNTS PAYABLES CONFIRMING THE ACCURACY INTERNAL CONTROLS .

REVIEW AND APPROVE JOURNAL ENTRIES AND RECONCILIATIONS .

REVIEW THE TAXES PAYMENTS .

Correct issues identified in various account reconciliations.

Additional Functions:

Assist in Accounting Continuous Improvement efforts analyzing VAT Devolutions and ensuring Internal Controls are being followed. .

Provide training to accounting/finance team .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

ENGLISH 90% KNOWLEDGE OF SAP AND TRESS TAX KNOWLEDGE TEAMWORK LEADERSHIP Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications is required principally Excel.

A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
