Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new independent publicly traded company which were calling SpinCo until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs this role will support SpinCo which will focus on critical digital infrastructure delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Legal Counsel Mexico Lead based in Guadalajara MX reporting to the Sr. Corporate Counsel of Cloud and Cooling business unit. The Legal Counsel Mexico Lead will be a key part of the Mexico legal team a critical business partner for the Mexico Operations and Supply Chain leaders of the sites as well as a dedicated commercial partner to the account team of the key customers in Mexico.
This role is essentially a country-specific general counsel assisting with variety of day-to-day operational issues as well as strategic guidance and ability to add global value for the company.
What a typical day looks like:
- Be a part of a 2-3 person regional legal team with responsibilities spanning supply chain agreement negotiation operational issues litigation/outside counsel management real estate facilities regulatory and corporate/entity management.
- Serve as the primary legal point of contact for site customers supporting customer-facing commercial negotiations and resolving contractual issues and disputes.
- Manage negotiation drafting and escalation of foreign and domestic transactions (including commercial agreements) covering manufacturing services procurement of materials intellectual property warranty indemnity inventory and financing issues with customers and OEMS.
- Advise the site on regulatory and compliance requirements including foreign trade and the IMMEX/maquiladora program customs data protection (LFPDPPP) environmental and anti-corruption obligations.
- Participate and attend labor litigation process in front of the labor courtprocesses before the Mexican conciliation centers (Centros de Conciliación) and labor courts (Tribunales Laborales) to obtain the proper settlement.
- Manage government relations and liaise with federal state (Jalisco) and municipal authorities and regulatory agencies on matters affecting the site.
- Collaborate with Trade Government Relations Human Resources Finance Supply Chain Operations IT Labor & Employment to resolve day to day issues.
- Work across borders time zones and cultures with a cross functional group of stakeholders.
- Explain complex topics in clear easy to comprehend manner with executive-level internal clients.
- Develop and provide legal training to internal clients assist in Global Account manager enhancement programs Diversity and Inclusion programs talent development etc.

The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Licensed Attorney. Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) and a valid professional license (cédula profesional).
- Fluent in Spanish and English. (CVs required in English Format)
- Experience in providing legal assistance to executive-level clients in an international manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience building developing leading high-performance teams.
- Working knowledge of Mexican commercial corporate and foreign trade regulations with the ability to manage government relations and represent the site before regulatory authorities.
- Prefer subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain Litigation Labor & Employment Trade or Government Relations.
- Executes and provides input to functional strategic plans and goals for the site. Has experience in guiding major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives. Requires self and innovative thinking to identify and reviewing problems to establish goals and to evaluate plans and programs
