Job Summary
A manufacturing plant within the packaging and food industry is seeking a Junior Factory Controller to provide financial and operational support through cost analysis budget management and performance monitoring. This role is responsible for ensuring financial visibility and control over plant operations while partnering closely with Production Supply Chain Engineering and Finance teams.
The Junior Factory Controller will participate in monthly financial close activities analyze production cost variations monitor manufacturing KPIs support budgeting and rolling forecasts and assist with profitability analysis across production lines. This position also oversees CAPEX and OPEX tracking inventory validation and financial reporting for plant leadership.
The role requires active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction operational efficiency productivity improvements and financial governance. This position serves as a key business partner to plant leadership by providing actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Participate in monthly plant financial close processes
- Analyze variances in production costs scrap labor fixed expenses conversion costs and inventories
- Track and report manufacturing financial and operational KPIs
- Support annual budget preparation and rolling forecast processes
- Conduct profitability and efficiency analysis for production lines
- Monitor and control CAPEX and OPEX expenditures
- Generate financial reports and presentations for plant leadership
- Validate inventory levels and productive consumption
- Provide financial support to Plant Manager and operational leaders
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects
- Ensure proper control of cost centers and plant accounting structures
- Support compliance with financial controls and internal procedures
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Industrial Engineering or related field 13 years of experience in controlling finance accounting or manufacturing finance preferred Experience in manufacturing packaging food production or industrial operations is a plus Strong understanding of cost accounting budgeting and financial analysis Knowledge of manufacturing operations and KPI structures Advanced Microsoft Excel skills ERP system experience preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced plant environment

Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in continuous improvement process optimization and project management. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant improvement methodologies is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams. Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software. Working Conditions: This role may require occasional travel to various company locations or partner organizations. Flexible work hours to accommodate project needs and deadlines.
