Your Role

As a Junior Cloud Data Engineer (Academy Program) at Capgemini you will begin your professional journey in Data Engineering through a structured learning and development program designed to build expertise in modern data and cloud technologies.

You will work alongside experienced professionals gaining hands-on experience in data processing cloud platforms and data pipeline development while contributing to real business projects. This role is ideal for recent graduates and early-career professionals looking to develop a strong foundation in Data Engineering and Cloud technologies.

Location: Aguascalientes Mexico

Responsibilities & Scope

• Support the development maintenance and monitoring of data pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Work with SQL to perform data extraction validation analysis and reporting activities.
• Assist in cloud-based data engineering tasks using technologies such as Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Databricks and Snowflake.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and technical teams in the design implementation and maintenance of data solutions.
• Support data quality initiatives by helping identify troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Contribute to performance improvement and optimization activities for data processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies team meetings and training sessions.
• Learn and apply data engineering best practices cloud concepts and modern data technologies.
• Document processes workflows and technical solutions as required.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering Data Science Mathematics or related field.
• Minimum 6 months of experience through internships academic projects traineeships or professional experience.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of data management and database concepts.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL.
• Understanding of data processing and ETL concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to dynamic environments.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure through academic projects internships or personal projects to cloud and data technologies such as:
• Microsoft Azure
