Were hiring a Lead Software Engineer for one of our top client engagements a global leader in payments this role you will act as a technical leader working alongside the clients business development and infrastructure teams to guide architecture and design decisions. This is a remote Contractor/EOR engagement based in Mexico City Mexico.

Lead technical and design discussions to help the enterprise speed its adoption of new technologies and practices

Architect and build highly scalable cloud-native applications

Leverage new technology paradigms such as serverless computing containers and microservices

Advise on implementing cloud best practices and continuous improvement

Act as a key contributor in establishing and applying policies and standards related to cloud technology

Requirements

Java 17 or above

JPA

Spring Boot

Microservices/API design and development

Kafka

Kubernetes

AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure experience

Familiarity with design patterns and API standards

Experience writing performant code and troubleshooting complex issues across multi-tiered architectures

Exceptional debugging skills

Knowledge of event-driven architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI programming tools

Experience with Karate or other testing frameworks
