Job Summary

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Import Export Supervisor with a strong focus on trade compliance and regulatory control. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with IMMEX program requirements customs regulations and trade agreements while maintaining strict control over temporary inventories customs operations and fiscal risk exposure. The ideal candidate is highly analytical detail-oriented and capable of managing complex compliance scenarios in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with IMMEX PROSEC and Rule 8 programs
  • Oversee proper application of USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements
  • Validate compliance with tariff and non-tariff regulations (RRNA)
  • Ensure correct application of customs regimes Mexican HTS classifications
  • Monitor and implement regulatory changes from SAT SE and ANAM
  • Lead and ensure compliance with Annex 24 and Annex 30 (inventory control systems)
  • Maintain accurate control and traceability of temporary imports fixed assets and returns
  • Ensure proper discharge of temporary imports vs. exports
  • Monitor aging balances and prevent fiscal risks penalties or IMMEX cancellation
  • Lead reconstruction of historical balances when inconsistencies are identified
  • Supervise daily import/export operations (pediments documentation valuation origin)
  • Validate proper application of customs benefits (USMCA Rule 8 PROSEC etc.)
  • Manage customs incidents corrections and authority requirements
  • Ensure alignment between physical operations ERP and Annex 24 systems
  • Prepare and lead internal and external audits (SAT ANAM clients)
  • Respond to authority inquiries audits and compliance reviews
  • Develop and implement preventive controls (not reactive)
  • Identify risks and propose compliance improvement strategies
  • Develop and maintain policies procedures and SOPs for trade compliance
  • Support ERP/MRP integration from a customs compliance perspective
  • Ensure correct structure of BOMs consumption and inventory flows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain Finance Engineering and Legal

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in international business International Relations or a related field.
  • 5 years in import/export logistics and customs management.
  • Knowledge of customs and tax laws tariff classification customs audits and Excel/data analysis.
  • Advanced English

  • Familiarity with SAT audits customs inspections and reconciliation procedures.
  • Experience managing cross-functional supply chain projects.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets.
