Head of Technology, LATAM
Job Summary
- Define and lead the technology strategy and roadmap for the LATAM region aligning with global technology standards and regional business priorities.
- Oversee IT infrastructure network and systems across all hotels in the region ensuring high availability security and performance.
- Lead the selection implementation and support of core hotel systems including PMS POS revenue management and guest experience platforms.
- Partner with hotel General Managers and department heads to identify technology needs and deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Build mentor and manage a regional team of IT professionals fostering a culture of service accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive cybersecurity and data privacy compliance across the region in line with company policy and local regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with regional technology vendors and service providers negotiating contracts and ensuring service levels are met.
- Own the regional technology budget balancing cost control with investment in innovation and infrastructure upgrades.
- Support new hotel openings transitions and renovations by planning and executing technology deployments on time and within budget and respective POBs.
- Collaborate closely with global IT Digital and Revenue Management teams to align regional initiatives with broader company objectives.
- Stay current on emerging hospitality technology trends and identify opportunities to enhance the guest and employee experience across the portfolio.
Qualifications :
- You have significant experience in a senior technology leadership role ideally within hospitality resort or multi-property environments.
- You have hands-on knowledge of hotel systems such as PMS POS and revenue management platforms along with core IT infrastructure and networking.
- You have experience managing technology across multiple properties or sites ideally spanning several countries within Latin America.
- You are a strong people leader able to build and develop a distributed regional team and collaborate effectively across functions and hotel-level teams.
- You have a solid understanding of cybersecurity practices and data privacy regulations relevant to the region.
- You are comfortable traveling regularly across the region to support hotels openings and regional initiatives.
- You are a clear communicator able to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders including senior hotel and business leaders.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
- You are a strategic thinker who can also roll up your sleeves and troubleshoot operational issues when needed.
- You are highly organized able to manage multiple projects vendors and priorities simultaneously without losing attention to detail.
- You exhibit sound judgment and diplomacy and the ability to represent technology as a business partner in high-visibility settings.
