German Teacher

At AIM we serve students from Preschool to Grade 9 delivering a U.S.-accredited curriculum alongside programmes in academics arts sports and technology within a modern well-equipped environment. AIM Huasteca is seeking an enthusiastic German Teacher to deliver engaging high-quality language instruction. The successful candidate will help students develop their speaking listening reading and writing skills.

• Plan and deliver engaging German lessons aligned with the schools curriculum and learning objectives.
• Develop students speaking listening reading and writing skills according to their age and proficiency level.
• Create a positive inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies resources and technology to support different learning needs.
• Assess student progress and provide clear constructive and timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance assessments and academic progress.
• Adapt lessons and provide additional support or challenge when required.
• Promote student participation confidence and enthusiasm for learning German.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school leaders regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings training school events and wider school activities.
• Follow the schools safeguarding health and safety and professional conduct policies.

• A genuine passion for education with the ability to engage motivate and positively impact young people.
• A proven track record of excellence in personal academic and professional achievements.
• In-depth expertise in and passion for their subject and the ability to inspire students and support outstanding progress.
• Expertise in assessing student progress providing targeted feedback and enhancing student performance including in external assessments.
• Experience in providing pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing with a strong focus on individual attention and high standards of welfare.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both collaboratively with colleagues and independently and a track record of establishing strong positive relationships with families.
• A commitment to their own continuous professional development.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills able to plan and prioritise a varied workload meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• PGCE QTS or equivalent with excellent academic credentials and ideally evidence of post-graduate study.
• Energy enthusiasm and a positive flexible and resourceful approach to working in a dynamic school environment.

• A bachelors degree in Education German Modern Languages or a related field.
• A teaching qualification or relevant teacher training.
• Fluency or advanced proficiency in German.
• Previous experience teaching German to children or teenagers.
• Strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills.
• The ability to create engaging student-centred learning experiences.
• Excellent communication organisation and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative flexible and proactive approach.
• Experience working in an international or bilingual school environment is desirable.
