Financial Manager

Job Summary
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Review financial dashboards management reports and cash flow analyses
- Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Review monthly reconciliations and management accounts
- Approve journals and corrective financial adjustments
- Monitor budget performance and investigate variances
- Facilitate annual external audits and support internal audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and legislation across multiple jurisdictions
- Conduct financial evaluations and feasibility assessments for new projects
- Manage daily weekly and monthly cash flow requirements
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts
- Optimise liquidity and working capital
- Maintain relationships with banks and treasury partners
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure and implement approved mitigation strategies
- Lead debtor and creditor management processes
- Review aged receivables and payables
- Ensure reconciliations are completed accurately and on time
- Oversee grower settlements and related financial controls
- Ensure all sales recoveries supplier costs and adjustments are accurately processed
- Oversee grower accounting and settlement processes
- Ensure accurate and timely grower payments
- Review grower statements reconciliations and pool accounting calculations
- Monitor allocation of export proceeds and associated costs
- Maintain strong grower relationships through financial accuracy and transparency
- Lead coach and develop the finance team
- Ensure accurate and timely financial outputs
- Review management accounts and variance analyses
- Maintain financial records in accordance with group policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Support taxation compliance including:
- Transfer Pricing
- Corporate Tax
- VAT/GST
- Working knowledge of tax environments in Mexico the USA and Peru will be advantageous
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Enhance reporting automation and business intelligence capabilities
- Support ERP implementation upgrades and optimisation projects
- Improve process efficiency and financial data integrity
- Promote standardisation and best practices across the business
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Commerce
- Professional Accounting Qualification such as CA(SA) CPA CIMA ACCA or equivalent will be advantageous
- 810 years experience in finance accounting or financial management roles
- Minimum 5 years experience in a senior finance leadership position
- Proven experience managing month-end year-end and audit processes
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience within the fresh produce agriculture or export industry will be advantageous

Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Commerce. Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA) CPA CIMA ACCA or equivalent) advantageous. Minimum 8-10 years experience in finance accounting or financial management roles. Minimum 5 years in a leadership or senior finance position. Experience managing month-end year-end and audit processes. Experience with ERP systems. Netsuite experience preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills
