We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on NPI Engineering Technician II to support the successful launch of new products from prototype through manufacturing this role you will partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering Product Engineering Quality Operations and New Product Development teams to build prototypes execute line trials troubleshoot early-build issues document process requirements and support launch deliverables. This position plays a critical role in ensuring new products are introduced safely efficiently and Right the First Time with a strong focus on Safety Quality Delivery and Cost.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Prototype Assembly: Build early-stage product prototypes using preliminary Bill of materials and drawings.
Line Trials: Assist in leading and executing manufacturing line trials for new products to check baseline safety quality SCRAP and yield.
Issue Tracking: Document and track any anomalies structural defects or assembly bugs identified during the initial trial runs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Assurance teams to isolate root causes of early build failures.
Process Documentation: Help draft clear standardized standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing work instructions for downstream factory staff.
Line setup: Ensure manufacturing equipment and production lines are working safely to standard operational baseline configurations post-trial.
Material control: Responsible to maintain inventories of materials and samples from NPI trials.
Sample shipments: Follow up sample shipments as required ensure material delivery on time as required.
Material disposition: Create approval formats and dispose material to SCRAP area.
Meetings: Participate actively in Tier II meetings NPI meetings as required. Provide status of NPI activities and visibility of issues that may request support from the Ops team.
NPI Build report: Responsible to prepare and present results after NPI trials.

Supervisory Relationships:
Reports To: Sr. Staff Manufacturing Engineering -New Product Integration
Organization Relationships:
Has contact with all levels of operations management.
Has frequent contact with manufacturing plant
Has frequent contact with Manufacturing Engineering Purchasing Safety Product Engineering New Product Development Quality Control import/export and Production control.
Has sporadic contact with Project leaders.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in engineering mechanical electrical industrial or a related technical field required.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering quality or new product introduction environment; experience supporting product launches line trials or prototype builds preferred.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret product specifications CAD layouts wiring schematics blueprints bills of material process documentation and technical drawings.
Hands-on experience using diagnostic equipment multimeters standard hand tools precision measurement devices prototyping equipment and manufacturing support tools.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes trial builds defect logging issue tracking root-cause support and basic quality or process improvement methods.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel Word and PowerPoint to document trial activity maintain issue logs prepare reports and communicate launch status.
Fluent conversational English required. Must be able to participate confidently in live project meetings collaborate with international teams and explain technical issues clearly both verbally and in writing.
