Job Summary

Your Team Responsibilities

The Benchmark & Third-party Portfolio team is part of the Data Operations department. The team solves complex problems related to all aspects of data operations extends critical product features by inventing and building analytics capabilities and provides exceptional service to clients. The team provides services to all major product lines of MSCI namely Index Analytics ESG and Real Assets and is spread across the globe US Mexico Hungary and Philippines.

Key Responsibilities

Being a member of a highly skilled and motivated team of analysts that solves complex problems regarding all aspects of market data production including data sourcing processing loading analysis etc.
Operation monitoring / maintenance re-engineering and developing efficient and elegant processes to support the daily production of market data.
Becoming a subject-matter expert with regards to 3rd Party Benchmarks and Portfolios and its implementation on Analytics platforms.
Leading large-scale critical data projects independently to extend capabilities and coverage support internal and external clients with content expertise.
Creating business specifications and cooperating with various cross functional teams (IT Research Product) on their execution and implementation.
Maintaining re-engineering and developing efficient and elegant processes to support the daily production of portfolio data and build/manage metrics for that.
Assisting with data visualization efforts automatic report generation and metrics reporting.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Data Science Business Statistics Computer Science or a related field. CFA and/or FRM designation (or progress toward certification) is a plus.
05 years of relevant professional experience.
Demonstrated interest in data management financial markets financial products and risk management.
Familiarity with programming languages and technical tools such as SQL Python R Perl and basic UNIX file administration is an advantage.
Experience with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau Spotfire) and version control systems such as Git is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights.
Strong organizational administrative and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Experience working in Agile environments or with Agile methodologies is desirable.
