Cost Engineer

The Cost Engineer is responsible for analyzing calculate and optimizing product and manufacturing costs to support Boschs profitability and competitiveness goals. This role collaborates with engineering purchasing manufacturing and finance teams to evaluate cost drivers develop cost models identify cost-saving opportunities and support sourcing and product development decisions. The Cost Engineer ensures accurate cost forecasting conducts value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) activities and provides data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency while maintaining Boschs quality and performance standards.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing Mechatronics Engineering; or a related technical field.

35 years of experience in Cost Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Product Development or a related engineering function.

Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional activities.

Solid technical background with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes as Stamping Die casting or Machining materials product design and engineering fundamentals.

Experience with competitive product benchmarking and teardown analysis is preferred.

Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical and financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Self-driven highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience collaborating with global cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
