Position Overview:
As part of the talented Global Advanced Manufacturing Technology team you will be responsible for leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve safety quality delivery cost and customer experience. This role applies DMAIC Lean tools and data analytics to drive measurable performance gains across operations and supporting functions. The Continuous Improvement Engineer will focus on leading well-scoped improvement projects facilitating kaizen events standardizing best practices and building problem-solving capability within teamsunder guidance of senior CI leadership when needed.

Essential Functions:
Project Leadership (DMAIC / Lean)
Lead well-defined cross-functional Lean Six Sigma projects using DMAIC to reduce variation defects waste and cycle time.
Define project charters problem statements goals scope benefits timelines risks and stakeholder plans.
Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys Fishbone Pareto Process Mapping Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
Develop and implement sustainable solutions ensuring controls are in place (standard work SPC plans visual management audits).
Deliver validated results (financial and operational) including baseline improvement and control metrics.
Data & Statistical Analysis
Analyze process performance using appropriate statistical methods (e.g. capability analysis hypothesis testing regression control charts).
Support data collection plans measurement system evaluation (e.g. Gage R&R where applicable) and data integrity checks.
Use tools such as Excel Minitab/JMP (or equivalent) and internal BI tools to interpret and communicate insights.
Kaizen & Lean Deployment
Facilitate kaizen events and rapid improvement workshops including pre-work execution and follow-up sustainment.
Apply Lean practices such as 5S SMED visual management standard work takt/capacity balancing pull systems.
Partner with operations leaders to identify waste and implement practical improvements aligned to daily management systems.
Change Management & Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with Operations Quality Engineering Supply Chain Maintenance and other functions to remove barriers and drive adoption.
Communicate project progress through standard governance (tollgates dashboards steering updates).
Train and coach team members in basic CI tools (yellow/green belt concepts) encouraging a culture of structured problem-solving.
Documentation Controls and Sustainment
Create and update process documentation: SOPs standard work control plans training materials and visual aids.
Establish sustainment mechanisms such as layered audits KPI tracking control charts and process ownership handoffs.
Ensure improvements comply with safety quality regulatory and internal standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Industrial Mechanical Manufacturing Chemical Systems) or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (recognized internal program or reputable external body).
25 years of experience in operations engineering manufacturing supply chain quality or CI (internships/co-ops acceptable).
Demonstrated experience applying structured problem-solving and leading improvement work (projects capstones internships prior roles).
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with process capability SPC FMEA DOE PFMEA/Control Plans or similar quality tools.
Experience facilitating kaizen events and training others in Lean/CI methods.
Exposure to ERP/MES systems and data extraction/reporting.
Experience training and mentoring LSS principles.
Working Conditions:
Must be able toremain in a stationary positionfor extended periods (e.g. at a desk or workstation).
Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment.
Must be able toregularly move aboutthe facility to access operational/distribution areas.
Must be able tooperatestandard office and warehouse
Must be able tocommunicateeffectively with team members and vendors.
This role operates in both office manufacturing and warehouse environments with occasional exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Working hours will vary to support global organization
The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic addition to base pay this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
