CBS Sr. Accounting & Reporting Analyst

Location: Mexico City (North America Scope)

Role Summary:

Join our dynamic Global Business Services team in Mexico City as a CBS Sr. Accounting & Reporting Analyst and become a key player in Record-to-Report (R2R) General Accounting (GA). Reporting directly to the CBS Accounting & Reporting Manager you will drive excellence in financial reporting internal controls and process improvement for our high-complexity North American entities. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to influence regional workflows by delivering deep financial analysis ensuring statutory compliance and leading cross-functional coordination. Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Close & Coordination: Orchestrate the Month-End Close (MEC) process with CBS Global integrating cross-functional stream activities and supervising deliverables across teams to ensure timely and accurate execution.

  • Financial & Statutory Reporting: Prepare and review comprehensive management reporting providing exceptional analysis on deviations managing complex Management vs. Statutory reconciliations and compiling annual financial reports such as 10K and FTCQ.

  • SOX Compliance & Internal Controls: Lead the coordination of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) activities executing thorough reviews of General Ledger (GL) reconciliations recommending appropriate adjustments and proactively identifying and implementing enhancements to strengthen the internal control framework.

  • Continuous Improvement & Process Simplification: Identify recommend and execute process simplification initiatives and continuous improvement projects to eliminate manual bottlenecks and optimize regional financial workflows.

  • Regional Standardization: Analyze recurring ad-hoc requests from local business teams to design and implement new standardized reporting structures maximizing operational efficiency across the region.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in General Accounting Finance or a closely related field.

  • 5 years of professional experience within General Accounting or Corporate Finance areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and data manipulation using Microsoft Excel.

  • Advanced English communication skills (both written and oral) with a proven ability to present financial concepts clearly to global stakeholders and auditors.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to bridge complex operational data with corporate accounting requirements.

  • Prior experience in a Global Business Services Shared Services or fast-paced multinational corporate environment.
