Business Development

AVL is the worlds largest independent company for development simulation and testing technology of powertrains (hybrid combustion engines transmission electric drive batteries and software) for passenger cars trucks and large engines and their integration into the vehicle.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify evaluate and develop new business opportunities aligned with AVLs strategic focus areas (sustainable mobility electrification digitalization).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers (OEMs Tier1s and mobility stakeholders) in collaboration with the local sales team.
• Analyze market trends (e-mobility hydrogen ADAS software-defined vehicle cybersecurity) and translate them into concrete business opportunities.
• Define compelling value propositions and integrated solutions (engineering testing simulation digitalization).
• Manage the commercial pipeline ensuring efficient opportunity qualification and conversion.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering product and operations teams to ensure competitive and feasible offers.
• Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals and participate in contract negotiations.
• Perform market and competitor analysis to anticipate industry developments.
• Contribute to growth strategies including expansion into new markets or segments.
• Ensure business opportunities contribute to revenue profitability and strategic positioning.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Degree in Mechanical Industrial Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering.
• Recent graduate or with initial professional experience.
• Strong interest in business development mobility and innovation.
• Analytical mindset with commercial orientation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English is mandatory; German is a plus.
