Application Support Oracle PLSQL Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for an Application Support / Oracle PL/SQL Developer to support and maintain business-critical applications.

The ideal candidate combines strong Application/Production Support experience with hands-on Oracle PL/SQL programming skills with the ability to troubleshoot incidents analyze application and database issues and implement effective technical solutions.

• Provide Application and Production Support for business-critical systems.
• Troubleshoot application incidents identify root causes and implement corrective solutions.
• Develop maintain and troubleshoot Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.
• Work with stored procedures packages functions triggers and complex SQL queries.
• Analyze issues involving applications databases interfaces batch processes and integrations.
• Perform application maintenance bug fixes testing and production implementations.
• Work with business users and technical teams to understand and resolve application issues.
• Support application enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
• Participate in production deployments and post-production support when required.

• Strong experience in Application / Production Support.
• Hands-on experience programming with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience developing or maintaining stored procedures packages functions triggers and complex SQL queries.
• Experience troubleshooting application and database-related production issues.
• Experience performing incident analysis root-cause analysis (RCA) and problem resolution.
• Good understanding of relational databases and application/database integrations.
• Intermediate English level or higher with the ability to communicate in a professional environment.

Experience in any of the following technologies or business areas will be considered a plus:

• Borland Delphi / Pascal.
• Visual Basic.
• Linux and shell scripting.
• Oracle Database Administration.
• .NET technologies.
• Experience supporting legacy applications.
• Knowledge of Mexican customs import/export or related business processes.

We are looking for a hands-on technical professional who is comfortable working in a production support environment while also performing development and application maintenance activities.

Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL programming and Application Support will be prioritized. Experience with the additional technologies listed above is valuable but not required to be considered for the position.
