To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Test Engineering located on Flex North.
Reporting to the Industrial Director Process Engineering the Test Engineering role is responsiblefor implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems software and/or equipment.
What a typical day looks like:
- Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment or software and systems testing.
- Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development procurement installation and calibration of instruments equipment and control devices required to test and record test data.
- Interfaces and confers with scientific engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions incomplete test data data interpretation or coding issues.
- Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering and management personnel.
- May develops or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
- Trains and instructs floor support test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software as well as problem solving techniques.
- Resolves test yield problems by performing evaluation of root causes developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
- Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production.
- Create and maintain process documentation.
- Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector.
- Defines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Mechatronics Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in EMS/CM environments supporting high-mix high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) ICT Functional Test AOI and AXI platforms.
- Experience leading Test Engineering activities and supporting cross-functional manufacturing teams.
- Strong knowledge of test equipment instrumentation calibration processes and test system integration.
- Experience developing implementing and supporting test hardware and software solutions for electronic products.
- Proven experience troubleshooting test failures and driving root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience improving test yields and implementing corrective and preventive actions in a production environment.
- Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes SMT and electronics assembly operations.
- Experience defining test methodologies test plans acceptance criteria and validation processes.
- Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing and test process documentation.
- Hands-on experience with AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and AXI (Automated X-ray Inspection) systems including programming optimization defect analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Experience supporting AOI/AXI implementation validation and integration into high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering Quality Manufacturing and Customer teams.
- Intermedian English communication skills (written and verbal).
