Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting

Role

As a senior Accountant Corporate Accounting you will review corporate accounting deliverables to ensure accuracy quality and compliance with accounting standards. You will support the preparation of financial statements and related accounting activities when required while primarily focusing on review and validation responsibilities. You will assess complex accounting transactions and ensure adherence to local statutory requirements and group reporting standards. As a technical resource you will provide guidance to preparers and help resolve accounting issues. You will also identify opportunities for process improvements and promote consistency and quality across all accounting deliverables.

What youll do

• Youll coordinate complex client deadlines ensuring timely delivery of accounting reporting and compliance requirements.
• Youll review bookkeeping reconciliations working schedules working papers tax and VAT computations and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Youll manage audit queries liaise with auditors for complex clients track and resolve review points address cluster review comments and complete required review checklists.
• Youll independently resolve complex technical accounting matters monitor regulatory reporting deadlines make decisions on escalated recommendations and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
• Youll drive continuous improvement by proposing initiatives that enhance client service and operational efficiency developing subject matter expertise within your portfolio and supporting additional business needs as required.

Qualifications :

About you

• You hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field or are pursuing ACCA Level 3 or ACA with at least 5 years of experience in Corporate Accounting.
• You demonstrate strong expertise in corporate accounting local statutory requirements accounting standards and group reporting with advanced skills in reviewing financial statements reconciliations and complex accounting processes.
• You independently identify track and resolve review points and technical accounting issues while providing clear guidance and technical feedback to preparers.
• You possess excellent communication interpersonal organizational and time management skills enabling effective collaboration with clients auditors and colleagues while meeting tight deadlines.
• You are detail-oriented results-driven and accountable with a commitment to quality compliance continuous learning process improvement and delivering high-quality outcomes.
