About the Role

We are seeking a reliable hardworking and safety-conscious Kitchen Steward to support the smooth operation of our kitchen and food and beverage areas. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness sanitation and organization while ensuring that kitchen equipment utensils and work areas are properly cleaned and available for daily operations.

What Youll Do

Dishwashing and Cleaning: Wash rinse sanitize and store dishes glassware cutlery cookware and kitchen equipment according to established procedures.

Kitchen Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen floors counters sinks storage areas equipment and other food preparation areas.

Food Safety Support: Follow food safety hygiene and sanitation standards to help maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Waste Management: Collect separate and dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with resort procedures and environmental guidelines.

Equipment Care: Operate dishwashing machines cleaning tools and other stewarding equipment safely and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

Stock and Supplies: Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials and notify supervisors when stock needs to be replenished.

Kitchen Support: Assist chefs cooks servers and other Food and Beverage team members with the movement of dishes equipment supplies and deliveries as required.

Organization: Keep storage areas service areas and stewarding stations clean organized and free from hazards.

Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with colleagues to support efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods and special events.

Compliance: Follow resort policies occupational health and safety procedures and instructions from supervisors and managers.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

Experience: Previous experience in kitchen stewarding dishwashing housekeeping food service hospitality or a related role is preferred but not required.

Work Ethic: Reliable punctual hardworking and willing to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Sanitation Awareness: Understanding of cleaning hygiene food safety and safe chemical handling practices.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with kitchen restaurant and stewarding team members.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods lift and move supplies bend reach and work in hot wet and busy kitchen conditions.

Safety: Commitment to following workplace safety procedures and using personal protective equipment when required.

Communication Skills: Ability to understand instructions and communicate respectfully with supervisors and colleagues.

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends holidays evenings early mornings and peak resort periods.

Personal Presentation: Professional attitude dependable conduct and commitment to maintaining RIUs standards of cleanliness and service.
