Tax Manager

Our client a leading CSP in Malta is looking for a Tax Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a tax professional to lead planning of strategies advise on complex transactions and support junior team members.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to 45K.

Please note that only candidates already based in Malta can be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead tax-planning and implementation strategies to optimise clients tax liability

• Advise on tax considerations for corporate restructuring financing M&As and cross-border investments

• Assist local and international clients with tax advisory engagements

• Support tax compliance including preparation of corporate tax returns and refund applications

• Assist with tax audits and liaise with tax authorities

• Deliver technical training and provide support to the accounting and audit teams

• Keep up to date with local and international direct tax developments

• Identify opportunities for the teams growth and propose improvements to systems and processes as needed

• Assist junior team members as their main point of contact and review their work

Education Skills & Experience

• ACCA qualified or equivalent

• 2 years of post-qualification experience within a CSP

• Excellent understanding of accounting standards and Maltese tax legislation

• Fluency in Maltese at a native level both written and spoken non-negotiable

• Fluency in English both written and spoken

• Fluency in another language is a plus

• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Proactive able to work independently and within a team

• Strong client relationship skills with a passion for delivering exceptional service
