Shipping Clerk

Our client one of the main ship registration service providers in Malta is currently looking for a Shipping Clerk to join their this role the selected candidate will be handling a portfolio of international clients across a wide range of industries as well as the companys private clients.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to 25K performance based bonus

Please note that only candidates already based in Malta will be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Carry out general administrative duties within the shipping department

• Support the crewing team in reviewing applications documentation and certification

• Apply for the release of STCW Endorsements and Seamens Books

• Liaise with Transport Malta and follow up on the release of documentation

• Liaise with clients and crew agencies

• Issue relevant invoices and follow up on settlement

Education Skills & Experience

• A Level standard of education

• Previous experience in an administration or secretarial role is a plus

• Excellent written and spoken English (native or bilingual level)

• Maltese is an advantage

• Proficiency in MS Word MS Excel and Outlook

• Well organised and accurate and able to work under pressure

• Able to work well as part of a team
