Job Summary

Our client a leading organisation within the ship repair and industrial sector is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to lead and strengthen its Quality Health Safety and Environmental function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing implementing and maintaining QHSE policies and procedures in line with international standards ensuring full compliance across all operational activities. This role plays a key part in driving a strong safety culture continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop implement and maintain QHSE policies and procedures in compliance with international and local regulations (ISO IMO SOLAS OHSAS etc.).
  • Monitor compliance with safety health environmental and quality standards across all operations.
  • Conduct regular audits inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Design and deliver training programmes to raise awareness of QHSE standards among employees and contractors.
  • Lead incident investigations perform root cause analysis and report findings to senior management.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to integrate QHSE requirements into project planning and execution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and prepare QHSE performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety quality and environmental performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Environmental Science Safety Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a QHSE management role preferably within maritime shipbuilding or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of international safety environmental and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse data identify trends and implement effective improvement measures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages will be considered an asset.
