Operations Supervisor

Our client is looking for a highly organised motivated and detail-oriented Supervisor to join the Operations team in Malta.

The successful candidate will support the administration and execution of trade finance transactions ensure compliance with internal procedures prepare operational and management reports and contribute to process improvements and operational projects.

• Administer and oversee trade finance transactions throughout their lifecycle ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
• Review and verify transaction documentation in line with internal policies and procedures.
• Prepare and review contracts pricing letters confirmations insurance documentation and other transaction-related documents.
• Coordinate settlements repayments fee collections and other operational activities.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and update internal systems.
• Conduct due diligence and screening checks on counterparties and transactions.
• Prepare management portfolio and operational reports.
• Support the implementation of new products systems projects and operational initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes controls and procedures.
• Provide guidance and day-to-day support to junior team members when required.
• Liaise with external professional advisors legal representatives and other counterparties.
• Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by management.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking trade finance financial services or a similar operational environment.
• Previous experience in trade finance syndicated lending loan administration credit insurance or related financial products will be considered a strong advantage.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in trade finance or a related area is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
