Hotel Maintenance Assistant

Our client a well-established hotel in Malta is looking for a reliable and hands-on Hotel Maintenance Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day maintenance of the hotel ensuring that guest rooms common areas and hotel facilities are kept in good working condition.

• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the hotel.
• Inspect guest rooms and common areas and report any maintenance issues.
• Assist with basic plumbing electrical carpentry painting and general repair work.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist with the maintenance of air-conditioning units appliances and other hotel equipment.
• Carry out basic preventive maintenance to help avoid breakdowns.
• Assist with the upkeep of hotel facilities including the pool and other guest areas.
• Ensure tools and maintenance areas are kept clean and organised.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report any potential hazards.
• Work closely with the housekeeping and hotel management teams.
• Assist external contractors and technicians when required.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned by management.

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance building maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical work painting and general repairs.
• Good practical and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable responsible and organised.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible and willing to respond to occasional urgent maintenance requests.
• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment will be considered an asset.
