Health Claims Officer Insurance Officer

Main Duties:

• Administer and set up new and existing policies
• Liaise with policyholders in relation to general policy queries
• Receive review and assess all new health insurance claims ensuring appropriate underwriting criteria is applied
• Receive review and assess all new Personal Accident claims for UK office and its Irish Third Country Branch
• Adhere to complaints procedures
• Ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations
• Investigate personal accident claims using established procedures consulting medical specialists to properly assess claims and inform underwriting
• Handle and resolve enquiries and complaints in line with company policy
• Liaise with policyholders on the status and outcome of their claim

What skills do you need

• Experience assessing insurance claims preferably in health Cash Plan or personal accident markets
• Fluent in business Maltese and English written and verbal is essential
• Able to deal with customers in a professional manner
• An eye for detail self-driven and conscientious individual
• Strong negotiating analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills
• Ability to self-motivate and self-start
• Must be able to effectively work in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
