Main duties:

  • Align HR strategy with company goals while managing the functions budget team development and executive advisory relationships
  • Champion employer branding employee engagement recognition and wellbeing programs to boost retention and talent attraction
  • Act as the primary expert on employment law overseeing grievances performance issues and consistent policy enforcement
  • Partner with leadership on organizational design talent acquisition and driving seamless structural changes
  • Manage performance evaluations succession planning and leadership development programs to build internal capability
  • Design fair grading and remuneration frameworks while executing annual salary reviews and bonus cycles
  • Maintain full oversight of payroll processing statutory submissions and pension plan administration
  • Partner with executive leaders to establish compliant HR frameworks structures and employment terms in new overseas markets
  • Ensure adherence to GDPR local labor laws and workplace safety protocols while providing reporting to the Board
  • Optimize HR technology and data insights to continuously refine workforce planning and operational processes

What skills do you need:

  • Degree or professional qualification in HR/Management with 10 years of generalist HR experience including 5 years in a management role
  • Deep knowledge of Maltese employment law and HR best practices with a proven track record of leading and developing HR teams
  • Strong business orientation to translate organizational priorities into practical HR solutions while balancing strategy with operational execution
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the confidence to advise challenge and build trust with senior leadership
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills paired with sound judgment discretion and high integrity in handling sensitive matters
  • Strong organizational skills to drive projects to completion leveraging HR technology and data to boost operational efficiency and decision-making
