Job Summary

We are looking for a fully or partially qualified Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients and ensure accurate financial reporting compliance and advisory support. The role involves bookkeeping management accounts VAT returns tax compliance and reconciliations.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a full-service certified public accounting practice specializing in tax audit and financial planning services and is located in Birkirkara.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned client portfolios.
Support with reconciliations.
Help prepare VAT returns and assist in the submission of statutory documentation.
Maintain proper filing systems and accurate records.
Collaborate with team members to meet internal deadlines and client deliverables.
Contribute to ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks as assigned.

EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in client accounting preferably in a professional services firm.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Fluency in Maltese and English (written and spoken).
Strong technical knowledge attention to detail client-focused ability to manage deadlines and a professional team-oriented attitude.

EDUCATION

Bachelors degree in Accountancy Finance or a related field; ACCA qualified or in the final stages.

WORKING TIME

Flexibility in starting time from 08:00 till 09:00 40 hours per week with 30 minutes break to be taken at your pace. Fridays till 15:00.
