Job Summary
Job Description:
1) Perform detailed electrical failure analysis on RMA (Return Material Analysis) and internal production fall out units.
2) Identify root cause of failures using systematic engineering methods (5 Why Fishbone 8D)and work with engineering teams on corrective solutions.
3) Prepare comprehensive FA reports with findings conclusions and recommendations with the agreed turnaround time (TAT).
4) Collaborate with manufacturing quality and design teams to drive continuous product improvement.
5) Participate in customer discussions regarding failure mechanisms and product reliability.
6) Operate and maintain failure analysis equipment ensuring that it is calibrated and in good working order. Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
Job Requirements:
1) Bachelors or masters degree in Electrical Electronics Optoelectronics Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
2) 25 years experience in technical support applications engineering or similar role. Experience in basic knowledge and principle of optical devices will be added advantage.
3) Strong understanding of electronics systems embedded systems or semiconductor products.
4) Capabe to use optics FA tools such as DCA curve tracer oscilloscope multimeter LCR meters high & low mag microscope etc.
5) Familiar with circuit diagrams and a strong background in Electronics. Capable to decipher schematic diagram.
6) Familiar with quality tools such as SPC FMEA and JMP.
7) Excellent communication presentation skills good analytical and report writing skills.
8) Can work independently and work with support teams as needed.
