Associate Solutions Architect, AWS Malaysia Solutions Architect

Were looking for an Associate Solutions Architect to join our Malaysia team. Youll work directly with customer teams to build prototypes proofs of concept and technical solutions across cloud adoption modernization and AI. This is an early-career role for someone with a few years of hands-on technical experience who is passionate about building learning and growing. Youll operate independently on customer engagements while collaborating with senior architects and account teams when the opportunity calls for it.

Whether its spinning up a prototype with GenAI containerizing an application or hacking together a demo to show a customer whats possible you bring curiosity and a willingness to experiment. Youre comfortable writing code iterating fast and collaborating with others to get to the best solution.

Key job responsibilities
Work with customer teams to design and build cloud solutions across migrations modernization and new workloads collaborating with senior architects and specialists as needed

Build prototypes proofs of concept and demos often at short notice to help customers visualize and validate solutions

Assess customer applications and databases document current state and propose modernization approaches

Help customers execute cloud migrations working to move workloads efficiently and securely

Experiment with AI and emerging technologies build working examples and help customers understand how these tools can solve their challenges

Proactively identify opportunities to add value for customers and drive them forward with the broader account team

Adapt quickly as priorities shift supporting multiple customers and initiatives as the team needs evolve

Contribute to the teams knowledge-sharing culture by building technical communities writing content running demos and collaborating openly with peers

A day in the life
Your morning might start mapping out a migration approach for a customer then jumping on a call to align with their engineering team. By afternoon youre heads-down building a proof of concept writing code to show how a modernized application could work on AWS. The next day might look completely different: experimenting with a new AI service to prototype a solution for a customer challenge or running a technical demo.

Some days youll pair with a senior architect on a complex design problem; other days youll own the engagement end to end. The work is varied fast-paced and gives you exposure to real enterprise problems across industries. Youll have experienced colleagues to learn from but you wont be waiting for permission to build.

About the team
Youll be part of the AWS Malaysia Solutions Architecture team based in our Kuala Lumpur office. We work with enterprise customers across industries helping them adopt cloud modernize their technology and build with AI. Our team values builders who are curious collaborative and eager to learn. - Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python Ruby C# or C
- Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals security storage or databases (relational or NoSQL) operating systems (Unix Linux or Windows)
- 2 years of Information Technology (IT) experience
- Bachelors degree

- Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution
- Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture Systems Design Software Development Infrastructure Architecture Data Engineering or DevOps
