Job Descriptions:

• Responsible for purchasing all hotel requirements while ensuring quality quantity and cost efficiency.
• Obtain competitive quotations from at least three suppliers.
• Prepare supplier comparison and quotation analyses.
• Prepare tender documents evaluate bids negotiate pricing and recommend final prices to management.
• Source products services and contractors for special projects.
• Conduct market surveys and monitor supplier pricing trends.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative products without compromising quality.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective suppliers.
• Attend trade shows and exhibitions to identify new products and industry developments.
• Coordinate inventory and par stock levels with the Cost Controller.
• Arrange consignment stock and manage purchasing controls.
• Maintain supplier records and support tax and customs procedures.
• Supervise Purchasing Officers and Purchasing Clerks.
• Conduct staff coaching counselling performance reviews and regular briefings.
• Communicate management directives and represent the team in finance meetings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies attendance standards and disciplinary procedures.
• Promote environmental sustainability waste reduction recycling and energy conservation initiatives.
• Maintain professional conduct ethics grooming and hygiene standards.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
• CPA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a large organization preferably within hospitality.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Purchasing Officer in the hospitality or catering industry.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Basic understanding of local dialects is an advantage.
• PC literate.
• Knowledge of accounting concepts.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Honest responsible and trustworthy.
• Self-motivated with initiative and problem-solving abilities.
