Job Summary
ARHS Group part of Accenture is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join one of our client teams in Luxembourg within the banking sector.
You will work on business-critical applications where software quality performance security and reliability are key. Alongside hands-on Java development you will contribute to the modernization of existing solutions investigate complex technical issues and help build a robust foundation for new projects.
Please note that fluency in French is mandatory for this position.
THE WORK:
- Develop and maintain robust backend solutions using Java 17 and the Spring ecosystem.
- Contribute to application upgrades and technology modernization addressing technical debt and obsolescence.
- Investigate complex technical issues using logs and monitoring tools perform root cause analysis and improve application resilience.
- Apply Security by Design principles including authentication authorization secrets management and data protection.
- Identify and address application vulnerabilities including OWASP-related risks and dependency vulnerabilities.
- Improve application performance code quality error handling and observability.
- Contribute to the modernization of existing services and the development of new solutions ensuring smooth integration with web and mobile applications.
- Maintain technical documentation and automate testing to support reliable and stable production releases.
Onsite at client site: This role requires an onsite presence with our clients and partners to support project delivery and strengthen collaboration.

HERES WHAT YOULL NEED:
- 5 years of experience in Java development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 Spring Boot and Spring Security.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills including experience investigating logs and monitoring data to identify root causes.
- Good knowledge of MS SQL.
- Experience with OpenShift and GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of software testing application security and OWASP best practices.
- Experience with observability tools and technologies such as OpenTelemetry and/or the ELK Stack.
- Basic knowledge of Angular and an understanding of mobile environments such as iOS Android and Capacitor.
- Strong focus on code quality performance reliability and maintainability.
- Fluency in French is mandatory.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience working in the banking or financial services sector.
- Experience with application modernization or large-scale technical upgrade projects.
- Experience working with business-critical high-availability applications.
